Quick update

Hey guys!

So I thought I would give you a quick update on my life at the mo!

Anjisvlogs: I persuaded my mum to start up a youtube channel this week and she only has five subscribers so by going and subscribing to her, you would be doing a good deed :) she mainly does blogs, as said in her title but will also be doing a journal on her new herbalife diet. If you have any requests for videos, comment below x I also persuaded her to set up a blog and the link is: www.anjis-blog.blogspot.com and there are going to be posts, weekly, about how her diet is going, what's happening in her life, makeup tips etc.  She really needs all the support she can get so please follow her xxx

Youtube: my youtube channel is SERIOUSLY lacking videos at the moment. I uploaded the 'My first time tag' this evening just to keep it going but I have no original ideas for videos! I did a video of me singing white horse by Taylor Swift about a week ago on my ukelele (if you'd like more like this comment below) and I just really need some help to get it going a bit more. If you are reading this you are helping me achieve my dreams but by following this blog, requesting videos/blogposts, subscribing to my youtube channel, you would be doing me the biggest favour anyone could do x

Caribbean!!!
In a few months it will be going to the Caribbean!!!! Woooooo!!! I'm going with my parents and my nan (if she doesn't back out) and I am sooooo exited! I would like some requests for videos for me to do out ther, I will probably doing a lot of vlogging as ther isn't much else I can do. I might do another sarong video, but I did that last year and I'm sort of hoping for something a bit new. How about a beach hairstyles video? I'll do a haul for things I got when I come back.  But anyway, the point is I'm REALLY exited as it will be the furthest I've been away from home EVER!

Taylor Swift:
In about two weeks I will be going to see Taylor Swift at the 02 arena in London!!! I'm going on February tenth, which also my best friends birthday (oops) but I'm sooooo exited! I will be doing a haul when I come back from there as well because I suspect I will buy a LOT of merch!!!

So yeh, that's what's happening right now! Please follow this blog, it would mean sooooooo much! Requests help a lot as well and it means I know what you guys like to read which maks it easier to gain followers. If you are a blogger, youtuber, twitter addict or whoever you will know that's it's very difficult getting attention through the Internet so I hope you will sympathise with me :) thankyou x

Taylor by Taylor Swift - review

Because i am such a HUGE fan of Taylor swift, naturally, i asked for her new scent for christmas.  It came with a scented body lotion and a scented bath gel.

It smells VERY sweet, as did her previous scent wonderstruck, with a few spicy smells mixed in. Her old scent was a lot more woody where as this one smells a lot more like roses and other sweet-smelling flowers.

The bottle is what makes me love it the most - the lid looks like a diamond and the rim is made of pearls. The lid itself is probably the most gorgeous part apart the whole thing. It's like this glass coffin encasing the perfume in a ball of… nope my imagination dims at that point. lol! I just love the way it sparkles, anything shiny attaches my attention any of my close friends know this.  I'm one of those sorts of girls that the sight of anything shiny draws me in.  Don't know why, it's a sort of addiction actually, so this lid just speaks to me.  The top of the bottle is sort of a swirl of rainbows.  This could look really trashy if it were flat, if it were an image but it's not.  It's quite hard to explain. It's 3D and you can feel the swirls, i think it's just gold plated, obviously not real gold. It would be a lot more than £23, haha!

The bath gels have the same scent as the perfume and i love the colours that Taylor chose.  The green is really bright and vibrant and the blue writing really stands out against the background. I just think her design was really chic and trendy.  They leave you smelling gorgeous when you come out of the shower, which is really good, and i just love them.

Overall, i think that this perfume is a HUGE success!  I'm so glad i bought it because it just smells delicious!

Zoella inspired makeup, clothes and hair!

Lately I have been obsessing over zoella. She is a huge inspiration to me and her videos are just amazing! So today I decided to do a zoella inspired look!

Hair:
I did my hair in the way that she does in the drugstore beauty haul. It was sort of curled round the bottoms and had a flower crown on the top, but I'm not wearing that. I washed and blow dried my hair like I normally do and then I got my straighteners out. I straightened my hair all over and then I curled a few of the ends to give it the same sort of look that Zoe had.

Makeup:
My makeup is only loosely related to Zoe's and I don't have a specific picture that I copied it from. I did her usual tiny cat eye and all the usuals like foundation etc. my foundation is actually a tinted moisturiser from Nivea as I currently don't own any foundation as mine ran out a few days ago, besides moisturiser is good for your skin! For my lips I used bourjois effect 3D lipgloss. My eyeliner is the scandal eyes liquid eyeliner from Rimmel London. My mascara is from the benefit beauty love-in makeup set and is called 'they're real' which is a pretty basic name actually... I filled in my eyebrows with eyeshadows from the same make-up set I used the third one from the top (image below). My blusher is the lip and cheek tint from the same set again and finally my eyeshadow is from the same set below. I have the top eyeshadow colour as the main base colour and the fourth colour is in the crease of my eyes and in the outer corners underneath the eye.

Clothes:
As we all know zoella is a huge fan of collars and cuteness so I chose a black and cream dress from Kylie at m&co. It has a slightly skewiff collar and has a tight, cream top half which the flows into a very floaty, black skirt.  I chose these tights because they are very cute, that is the only reason!

Gelish - review

Recently me and my mum have discovered the world of gelish nails. There are several wonderful things about the product as well as bad things.

Gelish nail polish itself is the most marvelous nail creation that has ever existed. It stays in for as long as you want, it will stay on the nail forever if you want it to; however, obviously the nail grows back and the gelish doesn't fill in the gaps, amazing as that would be, so you have to get it taken off.  This is where the problem lies. The removing of the gelish often causes the rung of your nails, nails are suddenly a LOT weaker and horrible scratches are on your nails.  A sort of nail file, very strong file, is used to remove the gelish and scrapes on your nails.  The gelish itself is marvelous though and I seriously recommend it.

There are hundreds of colours to choose from, obviously this depends on where you go to get the gelish put on of course, the brand itself has hundreds of different colours including neon colours, sparkles, matte, Christmas, Easter. There hundreds of different colours for different occasions.

The way gelish works is you paint it on and then you put yours nails underneath a special if light machine which completely dries your nails but your nails aren't dry until the third coat.  When they are finished they are COMPLETELY dry but they still look wet, they stay like that forever, unless you chip them or ruin them.  It's very difficult to do that, however, as the gelish is such a strong material.  I went on guide camp and I think the mix of chopping wood, smoke and suncream is the reason my gelish nails spoiled.

Certain substances have an effect on gelish and causes it to peel off.  Suncream spoils gelish and makes it suddenly slippery,  and then it peels off.  I don't the science of this it just does. I also have the impression that smoke has an effect on it and put too close to nails they will peel.  Too much hard work that involves your nails WILL cause it to peel.  Small work like drying and washing dishes probably won't damage your nails but I would wear rubber gloves just incase.

The price varies on where you go. The average rate is about £20 to put on and £10 extra to take off.  Where I go it's only £3 to take off which is wonderful value and she is very good quality.

Overall, gelish is a marvelous invention and I seriously recommend it!

There are other brands which do the same thing as gelish such as shilak (don't know if that's spelt right)

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post!

Sorry about the quality of this photo, I took it a long time ago and didn't edit it very well :-) these are the colours that I had on, I had a bright sea blu end silver sparkle on both my ring fingers.

This is the colour my nan has on her nails, it is a sort of plum colour and still has a slight shine.
My mum had a very deep blue and has been on for two weeks, it also has a very slight sparkle which you can't see in the picture.

As you can see, gelish suits all ages and all hands! Give it a try!

P.s. If your hands start to feel to hot in the uv machine press down and it stops it. I don't know the science of his all I know is that it works!
